The First City of Texas, historic Galveston lies on an island of the same name that combines a festive beach atmosphere with a long and celebrated history. The city features over 30 miles of beaches, one of the largest collections of Victorian architecture in the country, a wide variety of restaurants and nightlife, top resort hotels, shopping, art galleries, golf, deep-sea fishing, bird-watching and more. On average, there are over 200 sunny days per year in Galveston and a generally temperate climate with an average high in the low 70s in early December.
The R&R Expo is held at the Hilton Galveston, with the expo and educational sessions in the advance conference center facing the Gulf of Mexico.
